Apple Launches First public beta of iOS 11.3


Apple has released its first beta for the coming iOS 11.3 to public beta testers to try out the new features that come with the update.

Here’s a rundown of everything that will ship with iOS 11.3:

New Features

  • The latest update brings four new Animojis: Lion, Skull, Bear and Dragon.
  • ARKit 1.5 that supports irregular shaped surfaces like circular tables, vertical surfaces like walls, and also supports auto-focus and 50% higher resolution.
  • Business chat for iMessage with Hilton, Lowe’s and Wells Fargo on board.
  • Health application automatically updated health records from select partners.
  • Music video enhanced in Apple Music.
  • Authentication of HomeKit software without chip certification.
  • Advance Mobile Location (AML) which sends your locations to emergency services when calling from iPhone.


Battery features promised by Apple will be available in the next beta.

Other New Features

  • The new update include Messages in iCloud.
  • New Privacy icon in Settings and new privacy page during setup.
  • iBooks renamed as Books.
  • Updated size of Update screen & App Store list version number.
  • Feedback app is introduced.
  • Apple TV now appears in Home application with tvOS 11.3, doesn’t fill in as hub for mechanization and remote access without tvOS 11.3 on iOS 11.3
  • AirPlay 2 likewise working.
  • New “Confirm Side Button” produces for purchases on iPhoneX.
